Reach millenials in Indonesia using Facebook

Indonesia is the social media capital of the world and Facebook is king of the social networks. Eight out of ten inhabitants between 14 and 55 years old uses this social network daily. The number of registered users by the end of June 2016 reached 70 million. Facebook delivers around 6 billion views per month. That is a 7% increase compared to 2015. In percentage terms, 98.4 percent of Indonesia’s Facebook users will access the site using mobile devices, and by 2018, it will be almost 99 percent. If the forecast will prove to be correct, Indonesia will have the highest concentration of mobile users. In the US 79.2% of the social network’s subscribers access it through mobile devices, while in India the percentage lies around 82.9 %.
Indonesians spend an average of almost 3 hours a day using their mobile on social media. 13% of the users purchase a product by Facebook.
Given the many targeting capabilities, the reach in this area and the high penetration among a group which is traditionally difficult to reach using other media, Facebook is a good option for advertisers targeting the Indonesian market.
